Dauphin Island, AL — If you are still looking for something to do this Fourth of July, Dauphin Island has a full day if events taking place. The Dauphin Island Veteran’s Association always starts the holiday by remembering those who fought for our freedom.
On the fourth of July, the Dauphin Island Veteran’s Association will host an event revealing a brand-new monument honoring a “fallen solider”. This will take place at 11a.m. on Monday. This year the event will take place at the town hall on Dauphin Island.
Dauphin Island will also but putting on a fireworks show at 9PM Monday night. The movie “Jaws” will be will also be playing on the West End Beach Sunday night, beginning at dusk.
Bring some blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a nice evening on the beach. There will be snack vendors and air-conditioned bathrooms available.
Dauphin Island, AL- . They’re calling it “Red White and Boom” this year . . . . The Mobile Pops will perform at 6 p.m., and Dauphin Island’s annual fireworks show begins at 9 p.m. at the Dauphin Island public beach and pier, next to Dauphin Island Elementary School. Parking is available at the public beach for $5 per car. No glass, fires or camping allowed on the beach.
Please remember to leave early, traffic can be heavy going onto the Island.
